Using the Zenbook UX31 can I connect a second monitor using the micro HDMI port? I went and bought a micro hdmi cable and have been trying but i only see VGA as an option... this doesn't make sense because on my old ASUS I could do a normal HDMI cable to a second monitor with no issues.

yeah it is a micro VGA port. But what is the point of the Micro HDMI port if I cant use it? I got an adapter and a cord for the micro hdmi. I am wanting to hook it up to my samsung tv, so the micro side would be in my zenbook and the regular hdmi side in the tv.

For a display option then, right? At first I thought you meant you only saw a VGA port.

The output is controlled by the Intel HD graphics (the iGPU). Is your driver up to date?
