    Help with Antivirus, cant connect to the internet.
    Tried using avg and telus software, also cant connect to an online game but can surf the net, thanks.
    Can connect to IE but cant connect to firefox aswell
    im using an asus m50vm ... already turned off the firewall

    What firewall did you turn off? There may be two of them (not necessarily running at the same time):
    - Windows firewall
    - 3rd party firewall

    havnt installed a 3rd party firewall yet.

    I really don't see what else could cause this sort of trouble (i.e., some applications allowed to connect and some not) other than a firewall, or, perhaps, incorrect proxy settings if there is a proxy.
