I recently got and A8JP and I can't get it to remember my settings.

    1. I turn off the screensaver and select "none" and apply/ok. Then for some reason it starts up with the ASUS screensaver at random it seems. Usually when I leave it sitting doing nothing. Scares me when it starts blasting the music and I wasn't expecting it

    2. The mouse will not remember the speed I put it at. I change the settings and apply/save and then when I reboot... its back to default??? I don't know what's going on.

I am the admin on the laptop... Could it be something to do with the power saving stuff? I don't know :(

    Thanks

    Oh, extra credit....

Can you manually change/turn off the hyper memory? Where?

How do I get to the bios?

Have you tried changing the screensaver to something else and see if that works?

There may of been a corrupt factory install with the Windows Registry, that's my only idea.

For the HyperMemory, it's usually in BIOs during the bootup - but check your video driver client if it has anything there.

For the BIOs, check ASUS's drivers support page on their site.

This is because you need to disable the screensaver in the different profiles in the power4gear application (assuming you're using this). It doesnt help to just disable it as usual.
