About a few months ago, it was able to burn DVDs and CDs without any problems. A few weeks ago, it wouldn't read CD-Rs, but was still able to read DVDs. Just today, I tried to burn a DVD. Windows said it's a blank disc, but all the burning programs, Alcohol 120% and Nero said please insert a blank disc. All my DVD-Rs are blank. It's the same ones that I used to burn other DVD-Rs then. Not only that, now it can't even read normal DVDs that used to work now.

I tried to uninstall the drivers, but I can't seem to get any driver information on the drive. It's Mat****a DVD-RAM UJ-841S. I'm not sure whether it's a driver problem, or with the actual hardware itself. Considering it has been about a little less than a year, I don't know how the hardware can fail that quickly.

Edit: I've just tried playing a few other DVDs. It seems to play some of them.

If its a little less than a year, get a RMA quickly before warranty runs out.
