    Greets.
I just notice that some of the vents that reside right at the bottom of the hdd cover, are blocked out by some kind of plastic.
So, there are two rows of vents, and just the bottomless row is unblocked.
Is this normal? My notebook is w3n
Another thing, not related-> does 2x512 heats more than 2x256? Is it noticeable?
    Thanks in advance.

I really need help on this one.
Half of my vents are blocked by some kind of plastic thing.
How are yours? All the rows are open? Or some are blocked?
    Thanks.

rj why are you freaking out? If you notebook heats up to about 60C its normal. If this is the case leave it alone and stop worrying. The more you think its going to break the faster it will break.

It's that I feel the laptop very warm on the keyboard.
So, looking for the cause I find that some holes on that vent are blocked...
If it is not normal, I would like to unblock them. A little cold keyboard would make me happier.

I suggest that you look up pictures of the w3 on this forum, other forums, or on business web sites. I am sure that there are a plethora of pictures documenting the sides of the w3. Look at those pictures and compare it to your notebook.

If there are differences, then take a picture of your notebook and post it here and I'm sure people can help you out.

rjtd - I have the same thing on my W3V... it's normal. You don't really have to worry about it...

It is quite normal for the keyboard to be warm, considering the placement of the CPU. The hard drive radiates heat more into the touchpad area.

Can someone send me a close-up macro photo of the "vents" that are near the hdd cover?
    Thanks.
