Hi, this is my first post, I have a small question.

I got a Asus K60IJ-RBLX05 for my daughter for Christmas, don't tell her, it's a surprise. Well I've been setting it up for her, Updating Windows, uninstalling programs using the Asus Utility and Bloatware Guide, and pc-decrapifier-2.1.0. and installing software I know she'll need. And of course copying her files to it. Well that's the reason I've been playing with it.

So here's the question, When I first started the Notebook, after some basic Windows user stuff. There was a nice Asus video that ran, (and has not run sence). I'd like to set it up so that, that video would ran once more when she starts the laptop for the first time Christmas morning.

    Jim :D

I'm assuming it was an actual video in the system, not some downloaded file. Task Scheduler would be the thing to use. What's the video, though?

    And she'll love it.

Thank you, I'm guessing it's a video, no it was not a downloaded file, it ran just after setup, it was a artsie thing, showing hundreds of blue power buttons, lighting up, zipping by, ending in ASUS. It was kool looking.

I'll check out Task Scheduler, I've locked myself in the bedroom twice now, and she's now asking what up with Dad, so I should wait a fews days before doing anything again.

    Thank you very much.

    Jim

What was the video about? Was it just the buttons, or was it a tutorial of some sort?

I'm guessing it was just an asus Welcome video. Pretty sure it'll only play on the first boot of the machine after a fresh install of the factory recovery

Hi, thanks everyone, Forge, it was just the buttons, not a tutorial at all, the way it only ran once, it is a Asus Welcome video. hope I can find it.

DAD has a new secret toy! Now lets see if you can give it up on Christmas Day or better yet who plays with it more that day :). Brings back memories of when I got my first radio control car and trying to get the radio control from my fathers hands..........

Hi, Soviet Sunrise, we do take a lot of baths, once a week, if we need to or not. :)

Hi, TANWare, That is very true, and I can justify it as I want to get the setup portion done, but in my heart I know I just want to play with it. :)
