Hello all I'm a 15yr old student and just purchased a W3J as my second laptop.
I like the great graphics card and batterylife/weight since i move around alot.
I already did all updates including the Bios fix for the standby issue. My only question is, I used the link given in a x1600 thread to update to the CCC 6.8.
But In the program it states i have catalyst version 6.7 even though the install file said "6-8"
    Is this normal?
Other than that i love my new asus, it's so sturdy and light (compared to my old 8lb giant).
    Thanks all in advance!

That's a software program... I wouldn't worry about it, most likely the wrong file was linked to the download.

Normally, the updated version of software fixed the bugs and work better than the previous version. If the manufacturer doesn't test it fully, the users have to wait for a while until the beta version is mature.
