After lifting my laptop up by the screen (my own fault), one of the hinges in the corner has snapped. Its nothing thats not making my laptop screen work (thankfully)

My cameras not charged but heres a picture to show where:

The metal has actually snapped in half. Looks like a weak point.

So what can I do to fix it? I don't have any money to take it to the shop and get it fixed and my warrenty ran out 2 days ago (how unlucky, lol.)

How can I fix this? Super glue doesn't seem to work as it just doesn't seem to do anything.
Would metal glue work? or should I dig out my solder iron and try and put it together that way?

    Thanks.

I'm in the UK. And I think I will have to send it off to them which will cost.

You could try one of these products, but a hinge is a highly stressed part and it is likely to break again.

See if you can find a part number and you can order a replacement hinge.

I emailed Laptops Direct (where I got my email from) and explained the problem and they just emailed me back saying theyre sorry and my warrenty period has expired.
I doubt I can send it to Asus as its my fault.

Would a solder iron not do the trick?
