Justin (or anyone qualified to answer)-

Can you elaborate a little on the hot swappable battery (w3j)? Does it provide approximately the same amount of juice as the standard - so with it you double your power?

How about weight of it vs the weight of just having an extra standard battery?

Is it truly hot swappable...ie...drop it in the bay while the computer is up and running?

    Thanks,
    Erik

The optical tray is about 60% of a regular cell, the regular battery is 8 cell, the optical is 6 cell I believe.

I'm not sure about it being 100% hot swappable, because, before on my Z70va, when I take the OD out while comp is running, at times it freezes. I didn't have an modular battery/HD, so it could of froze because it detected something missing and nothing was replaced.

Its 100% if you are removing the optical drive to replace with a battery. Its not when you are replacing the battery with the optical drive. So yes the battery is 100% but i cant say the same for the the optical drive., Its a hit or miss for some reason. Also depends on the actual optical drive model i presume. Some work some do not.

Besides the traveler's drawer, battery and optical drive. What other devices will be available that bay?
