Hey Guys, I'm really on the fence as to what I should be getting for my laptop for university. The VD is no doubt the best designed laptop (in terms of looks) and the 1980*1080 IPS matte screen sounds incredible. But there are also some issues with it that you've guys have listed. So ... I'm having a hard time choosing.

    I've looked at:
    UX32VD
    Gigabyte U2442n
    ThinkPad T530
    Sony Vaio S (13" I think)

Does anyone know how the UX32VD stacks up against the other computers I've listed? If I get the VD I plan on getting an SSD and more RAM if that helps.

I don't really like the ThinkPad's design with the NavPoint thing (or whatever it's called), but the rest of it seems fine. The Gigabyte isn't available here in Canada yet (or the States for that matter I think).

The Sony Vaio S seems like a good competitor for the VD. I haven't looked that in depth into it yet, but I will. It seems good from what I've heard.

Any comments or suggestions or recommendations or comparisons?

    Thanks in advance.
