There insturctions in the asus info booth on how to find detailed specs on your notebook. They seem outdated as I wasn't able to do it. Does anyone know how this is currently done?

It is often a challenge... usually finding the specs on retailer websites is easier. The problem is even ASUS own listed specs are sometimes not exact. If the model isn't on the ASUS website, there isn't much to do except browse around and compare.

If you post the exact model you're looking for, maybe someone will be able to post specs for you.

    Welcome to the forum.

Type the full model number into Google, i.e. "u20lt-x1 specs"

Depending on what you want to know you can also try cpu-z this is a free program you can download and it will show your cpu, ram, gpu, mainboard info etc.

I have the n53jq-xv1. I tried googling it for the specs but didn't find anything. I just want to know everything there is to know. Obviously I read all the specs on the newegg website before I bought it. But I am just curious and want to know all i can. Thanks for the info on the cpu z program I'll check it out. One other thing I'm curious about.....how much effort it is or is it even possible to get a backlit keyboard for this model.
thanks to all who replied to my post.

You have to do some creative soldering to get an aftermarket BL kb to work.

Voids your warranty in the process.
