I have a Asus G2k

AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 2.2Ghz
2046MB Ram
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600
I know i dont have a beast computer but when i bought this laptop gaming was in mind and crysis is really laggy and im running with a mixture of low and medium settings and have the res at 1024x768
Idk what to do, any help will be appreciated

Overclock the GPU.

Whoa, HD 2600? The laptop I'm currently using has an ATI Radeon HD 3200 and it can't even run Hulu videos fullscreen. I don't think you have a machine that should be running Crysis.

Might be if you have an MXM GPU, as this post sort of suggests:

If you don't mind voiding the warranty, take apart the notebook and check if you can remove the GPU or if it's soldered onto the motherboard. -
buy g73 ;-)

Well he has to start somewhere. I suggest reading a few guides on how to take apart notebooks. Take it nice and slow, I don't see what could go wrong.

Get G73... u'll be able to play crysis on very high and not to mention u can play directx 11 games... won't have to invest in a new laptop for 3 years... unless directx 12 comes out lol...

Ya who wants to buy me g2 for 1,499???
lol but really how much do you think i could get for my G2K? cauz if i can get a good price maybe i would upgrade. Moral im not a big tech guru but i learn quick and ive upgraded desktops before but like that post says would a ATI HD3650 work in my notebook? and would it make that big of a difference?

I cant find like any info about the G2K or any for sale i feel like I'm the only one who bought one lol
-
That's how old it is. I think it's time for you to get a new laptop
-

-

I'll give you $100 for it.

im not too good with motherboards, but if your motherboard does have another PCIE then buy another 2600 to crossfire them. Otherwise, do your best to sell the 2600 for as much as possible and buy yourself a 4770. and a PSU upgrade if needed.

keep the laptop as it is a good laptop for everyday use. Invest in a midgrade gaming desktop and you can play on high settings. Seriously..that makes the most sense. You can get a pre-built desktop for 600 bucks and you can keep your current laptop.
