I was reading where one of the members had 8GB DDR2 RAM on his Asus M70Vm-C1. I have this same system and would really like to know how to do this. I saw where someone said the chipset would support it, but it was up to Asus. Does the BIOS have to be change to allow the system to use all 8GB? I know the specs on the M70Vm-C1 said 4GB was max, but specs have known to be understated.

Nothing special needs to be done to upgrade to 8GB of ram. Just replace the 4GB you currently have with 8GB (2x 4GB) of DDR2 ram in your laptop and it should run fine. You shouldn't need to update your BIOS but if the 8GB doesn't register, you should then update it to the latest version.
