Does anyone know which pins on a labtop battery are for what? I have an ASUS A42-M70 battery I would like to charge by directly connecting to the pins. Be great if there was a nine slot connection I could hook up to the battery.
The reason I mention this is that I have a Renaissance Charger that is a very cool device that restores battery life to almost new sometimes better than new.

and would like to use that charge to give new life to my laptop battery.
Btw - the charger really works - excellent cutting edge product.

Not sure in particular, but you can find out the polarity with a multimeter:

Woah!
STOP!
That is an lithium-ion battery, that charger is an lead acid and Ni-Mh charger about 30 seconds after you connect it that battery will catch fire,Lithium-oxcide burns at 1300 F!,don't mess with it!
Lithium-ion battery's are very dangerous, the only way to charge it would be with an multi-cell Hobby charger for Remote control planes, and thats sketchy at most.
How can you charge a Notebook Battery when it's not in the notebook
