My laptop is heating up/fan is running excessively lately. Time for fan cleaning.

I've been trying all night to find sites/youtube vids on how to disassemble my asus n53 notebook to clean my fan & heat sink, with no luck. I've gotten as far as removing battery, hard drive, and keyboard. I DID read that the fan is likely under the keyboard tray, but I'm totally lost as to where to go from here; the keyboard tray (under the keyboard) is still locked in under the rest of the top panel, and speakers.

    Help me please..!

    Hey Ken,

It seems like I'll have to go as far as taking out the motherboard before I can get access to the fan/heat sink. That's a drag, but at the very least I've got a good guide to do it.Thanks for your help..!

Since you've gone this far might just repaste GPU/CPU with IC Diamond. :)

Want to give a shoutout to Ken @ GentechPC. Just purchased a customized powerhouse N53SM and loving it. GREAT support at Gentech.

Hello, I was wondering how do you disconnect the keyboard FPC and FFC's. I'm really unsure of myself. I own an Asus N53Jq
