    How do I make dvd player to startup first instead of HD

    I tried using all key combinations but could not make the dvd to start up first. I am using a Z96J. Thanks.... need to install Vista.

    go into the bios(usually F1 or F2 at POST) , under a tab called 'boot', move the DVD drive higher than the HDD with the +/- keys.

    Or you can just press "Esc" key at Intel/Asus logo screen and it'll give you the choice to select a boot device, work for all Asus notebooks and most Asus desktop motherboards.
