I am having issues reformating my g50vt x2. Can someone give me some instructions?
I have already attempted once... and i think i failed because I only used the first Recovery disk... thenk I used the driver disk... and I didn't use the 2nd recovery disk. When I got on windows, none of the drivers were installed. Please help me... I'm sorry I am a noob.

should be the same as my x1...

Don't ask me why, but as far as I know the second recovery disk is identical to the first one, its not really needed, im not sure why ASUS did that.

The correct way to do it is pretty much how you said it, you insert the first dvd, tell it to restore the HD and just follow instructions, when it asks you for the driver cd what itll do is copy all the drivers to the hard drive.

After the computer reboots, dont touch it, it should automatically start installing the drivers within windows, itll reboot several times and it will take a long time, you dont need to do anything.

When its finished itll shut down automatically and when you turn it on youll get the new vista installation wizard.

    Hope that helped

    Cheers

    and merry christmas :)

Yea... the second disk doesn't seem to be needed.

What you do is boot into windows then install all the drivers while in windows. You may have to restart the comp a few times. It might also take a while. Do however check up which asus utlities to install and not to install. Most of them are quite useless except perhaps the webcam software and the ATK stuff.

yea once your system is recovered and your on a normal screen itll just show the recycle bin...so now go to start>computer>and click on the CD-Rom Drive to open up the G50 driver cd and pick which programs you want installed and press start....thats it
