    Hey guys,

My old Asus F8Sn crashed and I'm planning to recover any data on it using either Puppy Linux or VistaPE. I'm wondering what I'm going to do after that though, and how to go about doing a clean reinstallation of Vista.

I made a Windows Recovery Disk but I heard it doesn't really have the "install" function and only does repair. Is it possible for me to make my own Vista Home Premium reinstallation disk? If so, does anyone know where I can get an .iso?

Also, what does the Asus Recovery CD do? Can I reinstall Vista from there?

I still have the Microsoft Seal for Vista Home Premium under my notebook with the serial and product key. Kinda weird though that Asus doesn't provide a Vista installation CD whereas my Dell notebook has one.

    Would appreciate any help...

There should also be a recovery partition on your original HDD that will return the drive back to factory conditions
