My drive is going bad and I got a new one under warranty. However, I can't get the old one out. I removed all the screws surrounding the drive but it won't budge. I've grabbed it with needlenose pliers and it still won't come out. If I pull any harder it's going to break. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

There are two screws under the system (obviously near the optical drive). My suggestion is to pop the tray out with the power button or a paper clip and then remove the screws and pull on the tray until you pop it out..... I don't know what you grabbed with needlenose pliers, but it doesn't sound good.

I figured it out. There's a screw inside where the harddrive is stored that has to be removed also. It popped right out after that.

The instructions for removing it called for "tweezers" to pull it out. When it wouldn't budge I jumped from tweezers to pliers. :D

    Thanks.
