How do I physically add RAM to the V1S? I see where it is supposed to go, I remove the screw but then what? The RAM panel doesn't move and I don't want to force anything.

There are two thin metal "things" that are holding the RAM on its sides. Pull outwards (to the left and to the right, respectively) on these "things". To insert, just push inwards, and downwards.

Im not sure what brand that notebook is, but... Sometimes the RAM is located under the keyboard, see if you have anything on or near the keyboard that could possibly be a latch of some kind or a hinge. If not, there may be some special thing in it and you have to bring it to the manufacturer to get it removed and upgraded. ----not sure---------hope I could help

Thanks for the reply but my question is one step before this, how do I remove the panel from the bottom to access this?

You need to first remove the big panel above the memory panel.

Thanks and understood. I remove five screws that are holding the panel on and the panel doesn't budge. I tried getting a screwdriver and plying it off but it didn't move easily, I don't want snap anything.

It's a scary one this for the first time. The big panel comes sort of forward an up at the same time - peel it up on the front edge of the big panel, and then gently work your way round.

Thanks, that was it. The big panel is hinged on the back side of the notebook, I could open it by using screwdriver from the front, it took a little force to get.

The RAM is under the smaller panel which can opened by pressing a couple of tabs on the panel. After that the installation is easy.
