Hey, I finally got my laptop. YAY.
but when i go to my computer.. i have 2 hard drives: VistaOS (C) [149GB] and an empty part called Data (D) [139GB]

How do i make it to they both combine into one? so theres one hard drive which has 300GB?

    Thanks :)

First, go into the partition that you don't want (the one that does NOT contain your operating system) and copy everything that you think you might possibly want onto the partition with your operating system. Next, right click on your 'My Computer' icon and select manage. Go down to 'Disk Management' and select that. You should see your HDD with the partitions. Right click on the unneeded partition and select 'Delete'. Finally, right click on the remaining partition and select 'Extend' and take over the empty space.

Windows likes to create hidden files and folders. It's probably nothing that you need to be concerned about (note sometimes manufacturers will create hidden partitions to store system restore settings but I have never heard of non-hidden partition with hidden folders with that sort of info... and certainly not with only 33mb of data), but if you really want to see what is there click on 'Tools' then select folder options. Select the 'View' tab and then select 'Show Hidden Files and Folders'. You probably won't want to leave this on permanently as all of the hidden files on your desktop will show up too. Take a look, but I wouldn't be too concerned.

If nothing's there you can probably feel safe deleting the partition.
