Ok heres the thing, after reading NightWalker's C90S thread on how he modded his C90s to fit a 9600MGT, i was wondering, how do you tell if a graphics card is MXM capable or not?
Was browsing around Newegg/Gentech/ExcaliberPC and i cant seem to even find a mobile version of the 9600 GT. A link would be much appreciated.
Haha sorry if my question is kinda noobish, really have no idea. Thanks

www.mxm-upgrade.com
(Checkout ebay as well) -
all newer GPUs are MXM-compatible. luckily, there's a site called http://mxm-upgrade.com/ that lets you check if your laptop is MXM-compatible or not in this list: http://mxm-upgrade.com/Table.html
hope that helps.
EDIT: you can also order GPUs from the site. -
Hey thanks for the fast reply. Does that mean as long as its a 9600M GT card, i can stick it into my C90s (which offers up to MXM II compatibility)?

Woot, they are expensive, you can get the C90s 8600M GT for about $100 from Asus vs about $400 from these guys (taking huge advantage of the novelty of MXM). Glad they actually updated, I hadn't seen anything from these guys in quite some time.

Yeah my C90s is running with the 8600M GT DDR3 version, runs bloody high temps though. Was wondering if i could just buy any 9600M GT card and stick it into my C90s with NightWalkers mod guide.
By these guys, are you referring to Whizzo and Andy? -
No MXM-upgrade.com, they have always been on the expensive side of things. Then again, they might be cheaper and more reliable then fleebay. I'm a little irritated that you can get the copper heat sink parts in Europe estore for the C90s/p. I have family coming from Europe, so I might see if they can order the parts for me and bring them with.
How do i know if a graphics card is MXM compatible? (Specifically a 9600MGT for the C90s)
