Like when the laptop turns on, the logo appears and produces a sound. I want to disable so how may I do it? Can't seem to find an option around.

On the G71 its one of 2 options

1st says "Play startup sound" and mine is disabled to keep it silent

However, one of the models has a bug that mutes all sound if you disable the above so you do the second

Volume level = X, I have mine at the default of 4 but lowering it to 0 should mute the sound.

All of this is in the BIOS.

I don't get it, where is it? Can someone briefly provide some instructions? This is a F6V laptop.

It's in the BIOS. Press F2 when you hear the sound. Select Play POST Sound, disable. Now you no longer hear it. :D

Anyways how to do it without muting the entire system? I turned it off and I went to Youtube but no sound. I just want to mute the logo turn-on-part and that's all I want.

Alright, then go back, put it back to enable, and then lower the volume setting (an option nearby) to 0. That should do it. That volume setting should not affect Windows volume.

Is it in the BIOS? Well, I can't find it and I also can't find the option in Control Panel. Want to give a hand?

BIOS, just near the place where you turned it off the first time. I think it's the very next option or something like that.
