From what i understand, to play my pc on theTV
all I have to do is, connect the HDMI, then just press "Fn" f8

Whoever not all of my "Fn" keys are working, so i assume this is why the image is not transfering over the tv... can someone help me? i assume I just need a set of drivers?

    Asus N10J Laptop

Or if you know another alternative to watch my laptop stuff into the TV ill appreciate it.

Ps I am trying to watch Cnet CES 2011

I feels this is like a trick question?!! :)

To enable Fn key, you'll need to install Asus ATK (hotkey) driver. I guess Asus ATK driver is corrupted or not installed. Anyway, instead using Fn key, to transfer display from internal LCD to external LCD, you also can set it in Control Panel:-
    Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution
There you can set either you want set it to extended monitor, mirror or transfer the main desktop to external LCD (set the external LCD as primary display).

    I hope this helps.

You can go to the NVIDIA control panel too, and detect monitors. But as kizwan mentioned, you probably need to reinstall your ATK drivers.

Also, the Fn + F8 key on my Asus G60VX stopped working properly after installing the latest nVIDIA driver (non beta). So, I reverted back to the original driver. Maybe this is not your case, but just an another possibility FYI.
