This question is for everyone who is running Vista on their notebook.
I'm trying to figure out if it really is worth switching from XP on a laptop.

    - So, how's you battery life with Vista? Does it last longer or not?
    - How is Windows' Mobility Center? I heard you now can easily turn off different things to improve your battery life (through Power Management)
    - How would you rate the SuperFetch tehnology on a notebook (SuperFetch is Windows' new caching technology that starts caching your most used applications immediately after startup) considering HDDs are much slower than what Microsoft had in mind when designing this technology?
    - Does the system run faster overall?
    - For those that use their USB stick - how is ReadyBoost?

I'm hoping the answers people will give me will help everyone who wants to switch but is skeptic of the new Windows' features.

Here's a review on the V1JP with Vista and a review on the V1JP with XP Pro

Overall you will notice a little bit of a slow down using Vista, but doing general tasks you will be ok. Once you start doing intensive tasks this is where Vista would appear a lot worse in performance than XP.

Have a look at this artical, compariing XP and Vista. Click Here

As for battery life, it seems that Vista does not require more power/watts to run, meaning your battery life should stay the same.
