I just got my first ASUS notebook 2 days ago, the k52jr-A1 and after the first day, I noticed two dead pixels (black) and just sent it in today for repair. Bummer because I just got the notebook and was loving it and was going to wait on getting it repaired, but figured I should just send it in for repair right away instead of waiting until the last minute for the 30 day no dead pixel warranty to come to a close. On the ASUS site, it states "overnight both ways" for warranty repairs, but after looking at my tracking number they gave me at FedEx, it states "Express Saver" with a delivery estimate next Tuesday. That kinda sucks, so I called ASUS, and yeah, they told me they don't offer overnight anymore and that their policy has changed for shipping.
I'm just wondering how long this is all going to take now? Or how long it has taken for others to get their PCs back after they sent them in for repair? I was kinda hoping to have my notebook back by next week, but now I'm not so sure.

I remember last year Feb when they still offered overnight shipping here in Canada. Call them on Monday, prepaid box arrived on Tuesday (and sent back the same day), they worked on it on Thursday, and I got it back on Friday. Motherboard replacement for the G1S.
How fast is Asus at repairing and shipping a notebook under warranty?
