i'm currently considering the m5n but have read different opinions on the quality of the screen. are most of you asus notebook owners satisfied with the screens? i have seen the avaretec screens and am definitely not impressed! i hope that the asus ones are superior to those.

    thanks!

What's wrong with the Averatec screens? I was just playing with a 3225H over at Circuit City the other day and it looked pretty sweet. I asked if I could play a DVD in it too, I thought it looked great. I personally don't have much use for a thin&light, but I would've been happy with that one I think.

    Anyway, I haven't seen an M5 but I'm fine with my M6.

    old: Sony PCG-GR300P 1.13GHz PIII-M, 512MB
    new: Asus M6Ne 2.00GHz P-M, 2GB

After correcting color settings at ATI control panel, colors are like natural.
Very good brightness, response time, colors...
I am very satisfied with screen[8D]
