Ever since I got my G60Vx, I have never used the P7450 for more than a few minutes until today.

It idles around 40-45C and tops out around 60C.

This causes my GPU to run much hotter, whereas before the GPU would idle around 46C, it now stays around 50-55C.

Not sure, first thing I did was swap it out for a T9900.
T9900 idles around 40-50c and never goes over 65c even during extended gaming sessions.I did use IC7 thermal paste to keep the temps in check.
GPU reaches about 85c tops during those extended gaming sesssions.

Not worried about my temps, satisfied with how it runs.
Never use a laptop cooler and everything is fine.
And I'm talking sometimes 3-4 hours of intense gaming(L4D2 is the game I'm currently hooked on).
I'm hoping to get at least 2 years out of this laptop and then upgrade and so far every indication tells me that wont be a problem.

If the P7350 counts, mine is sitting around 43C with 10+ tabs in Firefox while transferring 6GBs worth of patches and mods for BF2.

I have a P8400 (same TDP) that's OC'd to 2.18GHz, and a GTS-flashed 9800m. The hottest typical temperatures I run are about 68 on the CPU and 93C on the GPU.

Something sounds not right. I had the same T9900 in my G60Vx and it idled around 27C.

Those temps are not too far from mine. My [email protected] idles at 38-42C and at full load 60-64C. My gpu runs pretty cool though, it idles in the low 40s and tops out at about 70.
