    How hot is my G2S going to get?

    Hey everybody, thanks for your replies in advance.

    I still haven't acquired my G2S so this explains why I dont know the answer to my own question... I was simply wondering how hot this notebook is going to get. Generally, can you set it on your lap at all for maybe an hour? I understand that at 17" it's classified as a "desktop replacement", so it makes sense if it gets hot I suppose...

    Although I don't really plan on taking it all over the place, I really would rather use it on the couch and in bed in addition to using it on a table surface.

    So basically, how hot does it get?

    It will get warm - all notebooks do :). Expect higher temps when gaming - but remember that Asus' engineers spec the chassis and BIOS settings to keep things from going awry..... just enjoy your new toy.

    not hot at all
    The grills on both sides of the keyboard house tweeters on both sides and the grills also assist in cooling.
    When gaming you shouldnt go over 60-65 based on SpeedFan spec. It also idles between 46-52
