I'm considering purchasing the Asus G2Sg-A1 from XoticPC and I notice the warranty options are mostly Asus Global Warranty. I was going to get this for the 3 years option + 1 year accidental damage warranty, but I can't find much information or experiences. There are only a few ratings on resellerratings, and they are mostly bad, so I'm a little concerned about their customer service and warranty honoring. Does anyone have any good/bad stories to tell? I live in the US.

The standard north american warranty is 2 years + 1 year accidental (if registered). Global means the warranty is valid everywhere (except accidental is only covering North America). The European CS sucks but North American one is great. The warranty is a 24h turn-arround with overnight return shipping (I believe they usually send you a new unit...)

I've done warranty service with Asus Canada. Fairly painless. They arranged for Fedex to pick up my defective A8Js on Thursday and it was back by the following Monday. They replaced my video card and palmrest top part. Fast and efficient.

Asus customer service in North America is one of the best, if not the best in the industry. You won't have to worry about a thing.
I'd also recommend looking at gentechpc as their prices are a bit cheaper than xoticpc.
