    Z81D - 15.4" WS
    A6U - 15.4" WS

Every other 15.4" WS is muc closer to 14" wide and they have very small lips around the screen. How can these be more than 1" shorter in width and still pack the same screen?

Try measuring diagonal length, I think this is where they get the 15.4" from, thus logic says that if the screen isnt quite as wide it must be taller.

Don't quite work that way, aspect ratios are either 4:3 (letterbox) or 16:10 (wide). No tweeners. All 15.4" wides should have the same width/height. I measure mine to be just shy is 13 1/8" wide, so 12.9" must be a typo. Or maybe it has an endoskeleton :D

What Under said is consistent Beau...screens are measured on the diagonal, so if it's not as wide as he's expecting, it's probably 4:3 and therefore taller. But yes, all 15.4" screens should be roughly the same size.

No, it's not a 4:3, there is no such thing as a 15.4" letterbox.

As said in the original post

    "Z81D - 15.4" WS
    A6U - 15.4" WS"

WS = widescreen. 16:10 aspect ratio, sorry to not say explicity before 15.4" measured _diagonally_ (come on, who doesn't know a screen is measure diag???).

As I said before, it should be just over 13 inches in width, the spec is a typo,

Lets put it this way.............. if you don't believe the numbers........ the W2 with it's 17" widescreen is only 15 1/2" wide.... Something like the W3 with it's 14" widescreen is only 13" wide.
