This one comes with the 1.73ghz core duo, 1gb memory, 100gb hdd etc etc.

It looks very solid for the price, plus i expect everything is extremely well built.

Oh ok. The GPU doesnt interest me. Its just everyone seems to recomend these notebooks, it will be mostly for word processing / internet browsing.

I'd go with the A8F or the A8Jc if the price difference isn't much. But if the A8Jc is $150-$200 more then I'd go A8F

Im pritty sure we only get the "C" here. Im struggling to find decent reviews of this notebook (there's like 100 reviews for most dell models). Is it just new?

I intended to order this notebook this weekend, but since its only +$200 on top of the equivilent spec'd e1405, plus i get to use it before i buy it. It could be the better option.

Most people seem to go for the 7600 Go model, but i think the 7300Go would be fine for just windows computing.

The go7300 is better than integrated as not only does it support aero in Vista but it will help when watching DVDs and light gaming, if you so choose.

Yep, i wouldnt mind running the sims 2 on it. Possibly some RTS's on lower resolution. I might even try WoW.

The biggest interest in this computer for me is the construction (mostly the exterior, touch of the key's, mouse buttons etc), plus the screen.

I just wish there would be more reviews on it on the net.

It's not really new, if you want to read reviews, you can see there are a couple of A8Jm, A8Ja and A8F reviews around. They're pretty much the same machine except for graphics, so you can get a feel of how the machine performs from those reviews.

Once you get the A8Jc, maybe you can write the c review :)

To the OP, where are you based (i.e. which country)?
