Hi guys, I'm from Brazil and probably I'll import this notebook from USA and I think Asus here in Brazil doesn't have support over imported notebooks.
So, I would like to know how is the durability of this notebook, N80Vn-X1, if he is resistent and if he usually does not have hardware problems.
    Thanks

I think this question is very difficult to answer at this time, or perhaps even impossible. That's because the notebook is very new, and we simply don't have information about its reliability.

Perhaps users can give some feedback on its build quality, which will provide an indication of how durable the construction will be; but that's by no means a guarantee, and doesn't cover possible recurring internal faults that may not have been observed yet.

I own a N80 and so far the built has been very good. A bit of keyboard flex but nothing I can't deal with. Each notebook is built differently and since this notebook just came out less than a month ago it is very hard to tell how the notebook would hold up over time. My 2-3 week impression is that it should be fine.

Again for the hardware it is pretty hard to tell. I don't foresee any problem. It uses a Hitachi HD. It hasn't gotten too hot so the GPU should be fine as long as you perform the fan maintenance every once already. If you haven't already I would suggest you to read the N80Vn review at the ASUS review page. Other than that I've been keeping it on for the last 2 weeks or so and no major problems so far.

Hi, correct me if i'm wrong, but don't all Asus notebooks come with a 2 year global warranty?

and ideoteque85, what do you mean by "fan maintenance"?

    thanks

I mean taking out the fan and cleaning it with compressed air. Detailed instructions are provided at the sticky thread. It helps a lot.

Everyone should do that for their laptop. I never did it for my old laptop and the fan died a few weeks ago so I had to swap a new one.

There are some exceptions (bestbuy versions, for instance). It may also be different depending on the country, but in the US if buying from a reseller, and in the EU, I think it's always 2 years.
