I wanted to know the quality of that mouse for those that tried it. Is it good enough for fast action fps games?

It is a re-branded MX518. The MX518 is a highly regarded gaming mouse AFAIK.

mine is great! i love the mouse

I own the MX518, and right when I saw the one Asus gives with the G50 I said, "thats the mx518, sweet!" It's a great mouse. Actually, you should worry more about your mousepad than the actual mouse for this. You need a good one. I use http://www.puretrak.com/ it has micro-reflective materiel put into the pad and it's super accurate. If you use "PVCGAMING" as a code, I think you still get 10% off, I'm not sure though.

I have the G5 and ordered the G50V-A1 with the mx518, which mouse is better?
G5 or mx518? -
Spec-wise, the G5 would be better (2000dpi), while the mx518 has 1600dpi. However, I don't think you can really tell the difference when gaming.

I have a G5 and the G1S MX518 and with the same settings in Setpoint they "feel" different. I prefer the G5 but the MX518 is brilliant as well.

loving the MX518 that came with the G1s. Even though I don't use it with the G1s as I don't like wired with laptop. It feels great while gaming on the PC. Best mouse out there!

I prefer the MX518 to the G5 personally even the new G5 that has been fixed up.
There are some super detailed "mouse benchmark" threads burried here somewhere that show the MX518 is far better than almost any other mouse including the G5 when it comes to unknown factors like error correction and things like that. DPI for mice is like MP for cameras its the selling point they toss at you the average consumer making you think that the one and only thing you need to worry about is that one statistic but its very wrong.
Many should know that MP (mega pixels) is only how big the image is when it comes to cameras and has nothing to do with the quality. Buying a camera based on that alone is dumb.
DPI for a mouse is dots per inch, next time you decide to put 1600 dots within the space of an inch with your pencil you let me know, even the most minute vibration or movement from your hand will move more than 10 or so dots in that 1600 range so 2000 is totally pointless. Nobody uses 2000 dpi or even 1600 dpi in a 1:1 ratio meaning 1 "dot" per 1 pixel on screen. They dumb it down with a lower sensitivity and thats making the whole higher dpi totally invalid in the first place once you get past a certain point. -
That's awesome this "freebie" is that good. Does anyone know how well it'll compare to the Razer Diamondback?
How is the asus gaming mouse coming with the g50 or the g1s
