I'm on it right now. when i need the computer for internet purposes only, its hella quick. I love expressgate.
anyone else?

I use it fairly often when visiting the library in town for quick email checks but there really isn't enough there to make me use it regularly.
-
I have been meaning to uninstall it. There is almost no difference for me in booting into Expressgate and booting Windows 7 from an SSD. Since it doesn't really save power, than I don't see much point for me.
-
i thought it would save power due to less resources being used?
it seems to last a little bit longer for me. I've been using my lappy for 2 hours and still have a 33% charge -
Never really found a time when i needed to look something up when it's off - and boot takes like 10 seconds anyways. And for video playback mediaportal with streamed mp is untouchable.
-
untouchable as in good or bad?
so you are praising expressgate? -
When all I need is to check something online really fast I have been known to use it. I like the option of using it.
-
Agreed. If I get a last second change to my trip it is Very nice to be able to hit that express button change my flight plans. E.g. Owner calls up and says "I'll be there in 10 mins". Arrrgghh... I need every second of that 10 mins to get the jet prepped. Seriously...I can't count how many times express gate has come in handy for that very reason. Love It.

It was a Godsend when me and my old G50vt-X6 were traveling in a Mexican airport.

If I could access USB pendrives/external HDDs, and all the files in mine NTFS/ext2,3/ReiserFS filesystems in my notebook, I would use all the time... But so far, I never used it...
-
I have it both on ASUS notebook and Asus desktop mainboard, but so far I never used it.
Actaully, not being able access any internal and external hard disks makes it useless for me. Furthermore, low resolution I find it also disturbing.
When travelling I have my PDA with WIFI connection which I use to check my emails. -
It also doesn't seem to work on a RAID0 setup, like its friend FancyStart. At least out here both of them aren't working on my striped set,so can't really say I even know what it looks like
.Anybody else with RAID got it to work?

If ExpressGate used higher resolutions, I think i'd use it more.... as is, kinda lame, and Windows 7 boots really fast from sleep, so not really used.
How many people actually use expressgate?
