    How much RAM can the Asus G60VX hold?

    it has 4g can it go any higher? Also what's the BUS speed on the current ram? If any one knows that would be great, thanks.

    it can hold up to 8GB I believe (2x4GB) and its 8000MHz DDR2

    No. DDR3 and DDR2 have a different amount of pins. they are not interchangeable.

    The difference between DDR2 and DDR3 is negligible at best. It is more of a marketing gimmick than anything else, do not be fooled by the hype.

    K thanks, looks like it will cost about $270 to go to 8G of ram.... I'll hold off for a while G60vx is running like butter.

    4 GB's of RAM is enough, anything more is just a waste of money for everyday performance and gaming.
