ey Guys,
I'm facing a dilemma here, I would like to sell my laptop on eBay for a fairly reasonable price, but I have been away from the mobile computing scene for some time and was hoping that someone could give me a ballpark on how much I could net for my laptop:
It's in perfect working condition, no scratches, dents, never been dropped, mint condition.

I have the refresh version of it, with the same CPU, same RAM, and HD, x700 and with an IPS screen, I couldn't even get bids over $800 for mines, so I decided to keep it. I'd say $500-600.

About $400. You can get a more powerful vostro 1500 for about $500-600.
-
I was hoping to set the BIN price to $800 on eBay and keeping the "best offer" open just in case.
-
I'd say $500 is a good estimate... and that's a relatively high end estimate.
-
I suggest you just keep it, unless you need the money really badly. Some things like good quality laptops simply become more valuable than what you can get for them when they get older.

Sounds like my Toshiba Tecra 8100 which I bought new 7-8 years ago for $2400, I believe it was one of the first notebooks to come out with 3D acceleration (S3 Savage). It's worth about $50 now if that. It's since been upgraded to XP, 512MB RAM (max) and added a dvd drive and a bluetooth pccard and it's running strong, quite a testament to the durability of business class models if anything. In fact I'm using it right now since I've sold off my Asus F9
-
Why did you sell the F9?
-
I got such a good offer on it I couldn't turn it down
Checking out a W7 now though!
