    How much of a pain G1S + XP?

    Beforehand, I would say wait for a few weeks see if you can live nicely with Vista. If so, it doesn't make much sense downgrading.

    If you encounter serious reasons to downgrade, do it. There is a recent thread where all the necessary drivers have been posted.

    I think this may be a good option for you and others that dont know what to do with vista.

    Now you can use XP when you need it, but atleast have vista there to work on it now and then and get accustomed to it. If your lucky everything will work just fine on vista for you, but if you have just one major issue with it like a game or piece of important software/hardware just wont work. Use XP.

    Then when a fix comes out for Vista you can swich back over and not worry about all the penalties of being stuck with just one.
