    Hi.
From the support (by email) they didn't want to tell the estimated $$$ for this repair.
The guy from the store i bought also had no ideia but he said if i sent it to asus and refuse after they tell me the cost, i had to pay at least 100 euros?
So has anyone send to asus to replace the chassis (i think it's called like this, correct me if i'm wrong)?
    Thanks

Hmm, lol what have you been doing with your laptop? Generally your warranty does not cover any cosmetic issues, and this disaster you show us is unfortunatley categorised as a cosmetic issue. So you will have to pay to repair it.

Well as far as I can tell it's just outer shell damage. You would need top case (and possibly bottom case, I don't see if that is damaged from your photos) and LCD cover and/or bezel. On the ASUS estore, such components are typically in the range of 20 USD each. So pretty cheap.

The problem is you being in Europe, so you won't be able to use the eStore unless you have a friend in the US. Being the EU, you can go through a reseller or through the ASUS repair center. The first will be pretty expensive, and the latter I see from your message that it's not very willing to cooperate.

Edit: Actually I see you went to the store and not the repair center. You can also order parts from the repair center, and replace them yourself. You will get prices that are close to, but not quite as cheap, as the ASUS eStore. Definitely try giving them a call.

    Where exactly are you located?

rafiki6, i know i'll have to pay, that's why i asked if anyone sent his laptop to asus so i could have an ideia.
Because i don't want to have a surprise, since this happens a lot in my country...

E.B.E., i just went to the store to ask if he had an ideia how much it would be the repair, since many people leave there their "broken" laptops. On local stores it's hard to find components, if not impossible, so my ideia since the begining was sending to asus for repair. But like i wrote i don't want to have a surprise. I'll call them tomorrow.

    Thanks

What I was suggesting was instead of sending it to the store, or to the local ASUS Repair Center, you could just order the parts and exchange them yourself. That would save you the approx 70 EUR for shipping and handling (that is the rough amount in the EU, I think).

The disadvantage is that you need to take the notebook apart yourself. For that you need a disassembly manual. If you don't find it on the web, or you're not comfortable taking the NB apart, perhaps you're still better off sending it to ASUS.
