I will be buying a foreign language version U36 or U46 with Win7 and will want to do a fresh install of Win7 after wiping the supplied OS.

I understand recovery disks are no longer supplied so what is the best way to make recovery DVDs to get it back to factory state in case it needs repair?

    Thanks

Its quite easy in windows 7. Once you make your fresh install, click the window orb on the bottom left of the taskbar >> control panel >> system and security >> back up and restore. There is an option on the left pane that says to create a system recovery disc, and off you go.

Here is a guide with illustrations:

Will that backup all the bloatware etc., so that if I return to the shop for repair they will service it?

BTW, I'm in China, so the backup needs to be of Chinese Win7 Basic!

Whenever you use the dvds you make, it'll recover to the state that you made the discs in. So unless you makes changes during the fresh OS install, it would basically be factory restored state.
