    How to build the mainboard out of the A6V?

    Hello. I got an A6V from a friend who asked me if i could help him to repair his Asus Notebook. He fall over the power-cable of the notebook and now it does not load the battery any more. He send it to Asus and they told him, that it would cost about 600€. He let it send back, because that was to expencive for him.
    Can someone give me the service guide from the A6V? I would like to try to repair the notebook, but i cant open it. I have repaired many IBM and Dell notebooks, but i cant find out how to open the asus.

    I got exact the same problem :(
    I have unscrewed every screw in the laptop but when i try to open it, it gets stuck on the cooler :s

    Did you found anything ?

    I haven't seen any A6 disassembly guides floating around unfortunately... It's not a very popular model.

    Perhaps you could contact the local ASUS service center and try to ask for the guide? That's not sure to work though... they might refuse.

    Or maybe one of the resellers has the manual. It's quite old now and probably most of them are out of warranty, so they might be willing to give you the manual.

    Isn't the cooler & heatsink removable before the motherboard? E.g., from a bottom panel, or from under the keyboard.
