Hi everyone, I have notebook S56CM with 1-SSD 24BG/ 1-HDD 1TB,somewhere i read this ssd is for something hybrid-thing that cache all stuff and that increase the performance,I think i must use Expresscache app or Intel SRT,pleace sombody explain me if this is write and how to do it .Sorry for my bad english and greetings.![]()

Um.. well.. there are two approaches to this. One is software based on the user-level. Preparing for that typically means using some software or other to map the ssd in a redundant raid array with a virtual partition.. I think.. and then accessing that raid array for frequently used data. The install of the "rapid storage" whatever software really should take care of this. (Personally, if I wanted instant access to the system partition, I would set up a ramdisk for the cache-file and system files instead, but..).
Other variants are handled on the disk itself - the ssd part is essentially a piece of slow ram, right, so it can successfully be used as a large reading cache, and maybe alleviate the writes a bit. This is something you see on many hybrid disks as either a function or part of some other brand solution. And it's basically a less advanced, non-customizable, version of an ssd-caching option that would have a split disk and used more clever user-level software to control what is cached and prefetched on the ssd part of a hybrid disk. There are a few good options like that, and they tend to come bundled with the disk.
So. What do you have? I guess it's probably the intel rapid whatever thing. So you probably need to install the stuff provided on the asus support pages, and have updated chipset drivers, etc.
