Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to disable the big popup things that occur on my N53 whenever I use keyboard shortcuts to change the volume, change the brightness, disable/enable the touchpad, etc...

To show you what I'm talking about, here's an image:

I haven't the slightest idea of how to customize these, but I find them extremely annoying as they are so large and right in the center of the screen.

    Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Ah ok, I figured they were probably from one of those preinstalled ASUS programs. I'll try uninstalling atkosd2.

    Thanks!

Yeah if you uninstall it you'll get a small 2d notification instead in the top corner, that's atkosd. If you don't want those you have to kill the process and remove it from your startup programs.

How can I uninstall individual parts of the ATK package? I only have "ATK Package" and uninstalling that uninstalls all of the ATK utilities.

Oh, for that unified package for the newer models you can't uninstall parts of it. You'll have to just remove atkosd2 from your startup programs (msconfig or regedit, etc).
