How do I go into "standby" mode w/out having to do it via the shutdown method in XP? When I use Fn-F1 or Fn-F4 they both go to hibernate. I thought Fn-F1 was supposed to be standby and Fn-F4 was supposed to be hibernate?

Go to your control panel, then power options.

Should be options there to fix it

Go to control panel power options then advanced tab. should be an option to put in standby when either power or sleep botton is pressed,
