I am going to install an additional 512MB of RAM in my W3V. Since I don't see a fan on the bottom of the notebook , is installing RAM on a W3V any different than installing RAM on a Z63a because I looked at the guide for the Z63a and saw that it had a fan bracket.
Also, does anyone have any good instructions for installing ram in the W3V?

They're actually identical as far as how you install the ram......... remove the 5-6 screws in the cpu cover and the slot is right there.

Well, you should always be electricly grounded (I say this but never do it), also remove the battery and unplug the unit. Installing notebook ram is very easy otherwise, a lot easier than desktop ram can be.
Also make sure you get the ram with the right number of pins, I know there are 240 and 200 pin notebook so-dimms. I think the W3v uses 200pin but I'm not sure, PROPortable (Justin) might know. -
it's 200pin.
I just added an extra 1GB to my W3v, piece of cake, a lot easier than it was on my desktop computers
