Sorry to be such a noob. What I wanna do is setup raid-0 then have multiple partitions 3 if possible (1 for c: , 2 for d: for my data and 3rd for Ubuntu)
and that the recovery cd would still work if anything goes wrong.

If its possible and you know how to do it or if anyone of you did that, I would be gratefull for any help.

Do the g50v-a1 works well with Ubuntu or there's drivers problems?

In order to run UBUNTU you do not have to install it on HD. Unlike Microsoft products, this OS ca be run directly from CD (or any other bootable device like USB pen drive)

If you want to install UBUNTU on your HD, please do not change raid configuration you already have. DO NOT TOUCH IT
This OS comes with installation utility that will make the job of allocating space needed and creating partition.

Most important thing would be do we have drivers for everything in Ubuntu.... If you get it working well let me know as I would have to check it out.

Vicious,I do not think Ubuntu has drivers for everything but all essentials it does.
Probably you will miss webcam, fingerprints reader, direct console and other likes

Yeah that stuff is given, as long as it doesn't cause the unit to overheat or something due to bad fan profiling thats my biggest worry when it comes to un supported OS's.

Seen it happen when people used windows on a mac.
