Is there any special coating or anyhthing that can prevent faded keys on the Asus keyboards? I am noticing a faded area on my spacebar, shift, enter and on some of my popular keys. It looks ugly :( Is there anyway to touch it up?

Nope, unfortunately. It's something that happens the more you use it due to the oils on your skin which is transferred to the keys and slowly disintegrate the matte layer. In result, it turns glossy.

Silicon Keyboard covers? Never liked the feeling of them, but if you think it's worth it.

I use silicon keyboard protector from www.kbprotector.com. My W3J is around 1.5 years old but the keyboard still looks like new.

Got any pictures of this on your W3J? I might be interested in this if it's not too bothersome and looks decent.

No, actually after a while it feels more comfortable to my fingers because the silicon is soft. I'm a touch typist FYI.

I don't have a digital camera with me now but you can see here. IMHO it's not bothersome at all and it looks decent, no problem with me.
