    Hi,

I've done some searching here and there, and everybody seems to recommend ATI Tools for overclocking and monitoring gpu temps right? But when I installed the software, it said my gpu isn't supported... hm... strange... Is there is any other software that can read gpu temps in my lappy's card (X1600)?

    Thanks,

    TJUN

Unreal... thanks for the suggestion...but I've installed the Rivatuner... and after hours reading the faq in their forum, and trying everything... I still can't find out how to see the temps in my card. Even the overclocking features isn't supported( but its ok , I don't want to overclock at all. Just want to see the temps.) Can you enlighten my a little bit?

    Thanks

Open rivatuner, then next to where it says your GPU's stats "Amount of memory, etc..) theres a button next to "Customize...". Click on that, then click on the picture of a memory module with a magnifying glass over it. That should give you the temp of your x1600.

    Try notebookhardwarecontrol (aks NHC)

Search this forum for it. You should get a link:

Actually here it is. it It will read both your CPU and GPU

    Well

Scratch my previous post - I think I confused GPU with HD

Sorry about that - that system check CPU and HD. Maybe even GPU that I am not aware of

thats a bit strange...i have a x1600 as well (w3j) and nhc reads gpu cpu and hd..but if that fails you can use everest...which i am using now since nhc doesn't actually undervolt and i ended up using rmclock instead

jterp, the only thing I want to do is only to see temps of the GPU in a8ja, not undervolt , underclock. NHC can reads HD CPU GPu but not GPU's temp.
