    Hi,

As said in the tittle :
The sticker on the left, to the left of the touch-pad is beginning to take off.
    How to remove stickers?
And how to remove adhesive residue?

    Thanks.

I just peeled mine off when that started to happen. Some of the stickers left a bit of adhesive on the laptop but after a few days it just went away.

Use the sticker's remaining stickiness to pick up the other bits of it.

Lighter fluid works very well too, just make sure you clean it with windex after using the lighter fluid. It tends to turn stuff white after a while, the windex counteracts that I find.

I'd recommend against this type of solvents. You could use some LCD cleaning fluid, that is safe and will not cause any discoloring.

The simplest way would be aftershave or perfume, dries within 10 minutes and your NB will smell nice for a few days ;)
When i want to remove some residue i use something (translated) called Extraction Gasoline works beautifully on dried thermal paste , adhesives and fats , leaves no residue ,dries within seconds and is non aggressive to plastics.I even sometimes use it co clean my lcd .It has a very chemical smell that goes away when it evaporates.
But it ignites when you just think of fire, and dries your hands out real fast if it comes in contact with them.Nothing a little creme can't fix though.
You'll probably find it in every shop that sells paint.

    Thanks to everyone.

I'll try when I am at home to remove those residues of adhesive.

    Have a good day.

goo gone works very well. wipe it off with wet cloth after removing to remove the remaining goo gone. heck, that stuff will take bubble gum out of carpet.

If you still have the stickers on, and want to try and remove them without leaving any residue: Take a blow dryer, or heat gun (on low settings), prefer a blow dryer since I know it won't do any damage, and just warm up the the sticker and remove, should peel right off (hopefully). I used this technique when I bought my motorcycle and it worked really well.
