I am thinking to upgrade the T2400 in my W3J to T2500 or T2600 or maybe Merom... is it hard or easy? And what are the steps?

Sorry if this has been discussed earlier...

Take off the large plastic piece on the bottom of your notebook, and then the heatsink/fan unit. Underneath is the cpu. I haven't done it but these are the basic steps. But I'm sure it's fairly easy, especially if you've done it with your PC before.

If I'm not mistaken there's a small board which has to be removed before we can get to the heatsink/fan? The one at the middle top part?

Are you putting in Merom by any chance?

You mean Merom? Maybe, but I still have to figure out how to bring the processor to my country, since none of the online retailers ship to Indonesia. This is still a plan.

But why do you want to upgrade?
Any real reason? 1.83->2 it's only 10% difference, is it worth the money?

To upgrade the cpu is not a big job as long as you need to lock the socket after puting the cpu in. Depends on the chipset and find out more information first, then update a BIOS for upgrading a Merom cpu. I think that W3j cannot support Merom cpu.
    Cheers

really?!! is that hardware based or just that ASUS hasnt realeased a bios update yet? im thinking the latter since yonah and merom both use the same chipset...
